Baseline data are needed at CCS locations to help differentiate gas anomalies due to biological processes versus those that may result from a CO2 leak from the storage site. A webinar on “BASELINE studies for CO2 STORAGE SITES: results from the SiteChar project” took place on 21st February, 2014, starting with a general introduction about the SiteChar project given by Samuela Vercelli. During the webinar prof. Salvatore Lombardi explained the concept of baseline research performed in the SiteChar project and Stan Beaubien illustrated the final results of the baseline work on the Danish site.
